Electric Run London: glowing in the dark!

Schermata 2015-05-09 a 15.54.58The quality is awful, I know. But it was dark and I was using the front camera of my phone (fine, I didn’t upgrade to an iPhone 6 yet). But still, this picture reminds me how much fun I had last week so who cares if the quality is shit.
I started running in February but I am not a big running fan to be honest and of course I got lazy and now I am not running as I should. Who cares tho, I do believe that we need to do what makes us happy. So anyway, I was having a glass of wine with my friend and she mentioned that she was going for the Electric Run. I was like, “… the whaaaat?”
Ever heard of the Color Run? Well this one is one of those fun 5k runs but it’s in the evening, with UV lights and very bright different sections. I thought I could have joined my friend so I booked my ticket and went to Wembley last Saturday. The running track was built all around Wembley stadium (the arch of the stadium was pink, because the run is associated with Breast Cancer Care), with a rainbow section and a candy one. I have no idea how many people were actually there but it definitely felt like it was really busy. And don’t even bother to ask, I could’t run 5k without stopping.
There was music on the start line and you could feel the excitement all around.

Not sure how long it took us, but we did it and we were ready to party after the run but… it started raining so bye live dj set and beers. Doesn’t matter, it was fun and I do recommend it for next year. Or yeah, why not go to the Color Run in June first? I will be at a wedding in Italy but please go ahed and let me know. 🙂
I will leave you with some pictures, they all seem to be blurry. Sorry for that, will try to improve in my running-while-taking-pictures-technique (please see some official pics here).
